James J. Angel, PhD, CFP®, CFA, is a finance professor at Georgetown University, where he teaches courses in fintech as well as financial regulation. He overlapped at Caltech with Hal Finney, the recipient of the first bitcoin transfer from Satoshi Nakamoto, and has been following the crypto space since the early days. Alas, he was too stupid to see the high value that others would place on bitcoin and missed his chance to be an OG bitcoin billionaire.
