Julia Bonafede, CFA

Julia serves as the Strategic Advisor to a large state pension system, working
directly with Board and Staff on the fund’s investment program.
As Co-Founder of Rosetta Analytics AI, Julia pioneered the development of
next-generation asset management solutions using deep learning and deep
reinforcement learning models to extract unique data relationships. The firm
managed systematic investment strategies using their proprietary AI
investment platform.

Prior to founding Rosetta Analytics , as President of Wilshire Consulting and Board Member of Wilshire, Julia spent 24 years growing the firm's capabilities and client base. She led 90+ professionals managing over $1 trillion in assets under advisement, expanded into Outsourced CIO and Risk Consulting services,
and served as strategic consultant to major institutional investors including as lead consultant to CalPERS. Currently, she serves on multiple boards including CFA Society Los Angeles and Sierra Lutheran High School. Her previous board experience includes serving as a Director for Nature's Bakery and also
served as director of Concordia Plan Services, a retirement and healthcare benefits company. She holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California and a BS in Marketing from the University of Colorado. She served on the Standards and Practice Council of he CFA Institute and was a founding member of the London Society of Investment Professionals/CFA Society UK.
