U.S. President Donald Trump signed the GENIUS Act governing stablecoins into law on Friday, July 18, 2025, marking the first time a major piece of crypto legislation became a law in the U.S.

Lawmakers and crypto industry executives all attended the roughly hour-long ceremony, seen below.
